About Clear Film Printing

Clear Film Printing, Inc is a family-owned business founded in 1982 by Norman Olivarez. Located in the small town of Kaufman, TX, we have been operating for more than 40 years thanks to a strong work ethic, top notch experience in the Flexo industry, and pride in our work.

Norman got his start in the Flexo industry in 1958, working for Longhorn Specialty Printing in San Antonio, TX. At the age of only 16, Norman started learning the ins and outs of the Flexographic industry. After graduating high school in 1960, Norman married his beloved wife Angela Olivarez and joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served 5 years. When Norman returned from serving his country, he went back to work in the Flexo industry, gaining the experience necessary to start his own printing company.

Getting Started

In 1982, Norman ventured out on his own and started the company Clear Wrap Printing, known today as Clear Film Printing, Inc. Norman purchased his first press in 1982, a Hudson Sharp 4 color stack press, and a Beck slitter which he put into production in a 2000 square foot space in Kaufman, TX. This was truly a family affair, in which Norman and his three sons, Michael Olivarez, Mark Olivarez, and Daryl Olivarez worked tirelessly, sometimes sleeping at the office, to get orders out. With his wife Angela, and daughter Norma working in the office, the family quickly outgrew this small space.

Our Growth

In 1989, Norman purchased the current warehouse, and rebranded the business to what is known today as Clear Film Printing, Inc. After adding two more presses, one slitter, and two bag machines, the company continued to grow. While three of his children started to go their own paths, his youngest son Daryl had great interest in printing. Starting in the industry at the age of 13 years old, Daryl stayed with the business and is a huge part of what the company is today. Daryl, and his wife Deanna Olivarez purchased the company in 2019, making it a 2nd generation company, and has seen massive growth since then. Starting with 14 employees and one shift, Daryl has grown the company to 27 employees and a 24-hour operation. Now with two warehouse locations, Daryl purchased a brand new 8 color Koenig & Bauer that will be in production in early 2023. Daryl’s vision of the company has always been to provide great jobs for the community, treat employees like family, and to build a company that will last generations.

The Future

With his daughter Macey Cosper, and son Daylon Olivarez joining the team, we are working on a 3rd generation family company. Our outstanding customer service, and experience in the industry is what sets us apart from other printing companies. This, paired with our old-school work ethic, strong family values, and dedication to success will lead us to continued growth for many years to come. We believe the key to Clear Film’s success is the strength and commitment derived from its strong family and dedicated co-workers.
